Kellie martin is an American TV, film and stage actress. Her most notable parts include Christy Huddleston (Christy) as part of the period show Christy"; Rebecca Thatcher (Life Goes On) in Life Goes On; and Lucy Knight ("ER") in the medical drama ER". Her other notable roles include her title character in her role in the Hailey Dean Mystery series. Born to a department store owner and a kindergarten teacher Martin was able to begin her career in acting when she was just seven, when her aunt who worked as an nanny to actor Michael Landon's kids, assisted her in landing an appearance in the 1982 series 'Father Murphy'. After graduating of Yale University she began to pursue acting with a seriousness and landed roles on the smaller screen as well as on the big. Martin, in addition to being an excellent actor and dancer, she is also a skilled ballet photographer. A mother of two, Martin is the spokesperson for the nation for Lupus and has been frequently raising awareness about the condition after her sister passed away from it at around 19 years old.
