Patina Miller

Patina Patina PatinaMiller was the principal actor in Stephen Schwartz's celebrated 1972 musical "Pippin" at Broadway. Directed by Tony Award-winning director Diane Paulus, and also starring Matthew James Thomas, Andrea Martin and Terrence Mann, "Pippin" received the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical at the 67th annual Tony Awards. Patina played the character Ben Vereen into an award-winning actor. She also masterfully mastered Fosse's movements which are so essential to the musical. Patina was nominated to receive a Tony Award, an Outer Critics Circle Award and a Broadway.com Audience Choice Award. In addition, she was awarded the Drama League Award as Best Actress for of a Leading Role and an Outer Critics Circle Award as Outstanding Actress for a musical. The previous part she was in was the Lead Player on stage at American Repertory Theater in "Pippin", from December 2012 to January 2013. Miller made her Broadway debut in the 2011 Broadway season as the gutsy nightclub-singer-turned-nun "Deloris Van Cartier" in the stage adaptation of "Sister Act", which earned her first Tony nomination, as well as Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for her performance.
